Research shows that this talented sculptress went from Broadway to the Ziegfeld Follies. She later became a Ziegfeld Girls' Club officer.  The official caption reads: "Most beautiful girl in the Golden West, a sculptress of great ability. Miss Beryl Halley ( 19 ) who has just returned to New York from California, where she has been appearing in films. Besides being declared the beautiful girl in the Golden West, she is a sculptress of no little ability. She is seen with her latest model of the Goddess of Liberty. 23 December 1922."

Goddess Roma at World's Fair Italian Pavillion Marconi Monument in 1939. "The New York World's Fair was a large international exposition held in New York City, United States in 1939-1940. The 1939-1940 World's Fair was themed "The World of Tomorrow" and featured pavilions and exhibits from over 60 countries, displaying the latest innovations in science, technology, transportation, and design. Some of the most famous attractions at the fair included the iconic Trylon and Perisphere, a futuristic city display, and the Futurama exhibit, which gave visitors a glimpse into what life might be like in the year 1960."
 
Goddess Roma was a prominent figure at the fair. The monument was in honor of Italian inventor and electrical engineer Guglielmo Marconi. He is recognized for his development of wireless telegraphy, also known as radio. Before Marconi's work, telegraph signals were sent through wires.

The Shrine of the Black Virgin of New York. The Black Madonna Shrine was brought to New York from Tindari, Scicili, by a generation of immigrants who settled here and wanted to continue their worship. She lived in Greenwich Village in a small shrine room that was a beloved place of worship, prayer, wishes, petitions, and miracles on 13th Street in Manhattan. She was brought out for festivals and public view. When the area was torn down, she was brought to New Jersey for safe keeping and she is said to still live there, blessing those who get to visit.
